Your stay at Marc's Flat is an excellent opportunity to visit Nantes. Many visits and discoveries are available during your stay. Your host is full of excellent advice; don't hesitate to ask: he'll share his favorite places with you!

From your guesthouse close to the city center, the train station, and the Machines de l'île in Nantes, you can easily get around using public transportation. The Tan network allows you to take the tram, bus, and navibus, free on weekends.

Nantes city center


Often nicknamed "The Venice of the West" or "The City of Dukes", Nantes is a city steeped in history and rich in wonders to visit. In the city center, you'll find numerous squares and shops.

During your stay, be sure to visit the Château des Ducs de Bretagne and admire its architecture and exhibitions. Other must-see attractions include the Nantes Art Museum, the Jules Verne Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the markets, including the one in Talensac. Finally, for a stroll, head to the Parc de Procé, an English-style park featuring flowers, trees, playgrounds, and much more.

The Machines of the Island


Head to the Île de Nantes, in the Parc des Chantiers, for a truly surprising encounter. Discover the Machines de l'île: in the gallery, visitors rub shoulders with giant, articulated creatures. You'll admire the Heron Tree and the Flock of Butterflies.

As you stroll around, you might even spot the Elephant, a majestic machine made of steel and wood. Climb aboard and enjoy the ride!

From your accommodation, you can go directly to the Machines de l'île by tram.

The village of Trentemoult


A former fishing village, Trentemoult is an unusual neighborhood located just a short walk from Nantes. An authentic and exotic stroll awaits you. You can admire the pretty colorful houses with their tiled roofs.

This will also be an opportunity for you to stroll along the banks of the Loire and enjoy the many bars and restaurants there. Head to Trentemoult by taking the navibus from Nantes!

Pornic and Clisson


Among the places of interest in the region that we particularly recommend is Pornic. Located on the coast, 45 minutes from our guesthouse near Nantes city center, it is a city renowned for its beaches and its port.

Clisson, also 45 minutes from your accommodation, is the city that hosts Hellfest. In addition to this iconic festival, you will find parks ideal for strolls and exciting tours of the Château.
